OVERVIEW

Please NOTE this link is for 8u Coach Pitch and Kids Pitch SPRING Travel baseball evaluations which will take place on the following two dates at THE FIELDHOUSE In Northvale NJ: Thursday 3/12 4:30pm-6pm / Sunday, 3/15, 5:00 PM–6:15 PM Teams will be picked in the coming weeks and the season starts on March 29th, so the coaches will jump into practices ASAP To play any travel baseball, the children must register AND PLAY in Rec baseball. If they miss any rec games without a valid excuse (sickness , visiting grandma, etc) they will sit out their next travel game. Please understand the following: These are the only dates and times for tryouts. If your child is interested in joining one of these teams, they must attend at least one of the evaluations. We STRONGLY ENCOURAGE all boys to attend both sessions so evaluators can see them properly. Having them attend both days is very important, as some may have an "off day." Boys should wear sneakers or turf shoes, NOT rubber cleats. They MUST bring a Baseball mitt, ideally their own batting helmet and any other baseball equipment they have (bats, batting gloves, etc.). Have them bring a bottle of water, ideally in a reusable container they can take with them when they leave. PLEASE LABEL all of their belongings. SOME BOYS might not be ready for KIDS Pitch travel and instead might be more comfortable with kids pitch. THIS IS NORMAL and the boys should play where they feel comfortable. IF you know this going in to the evaluations, please let us know prior to or immediately following the evaluations so that they can be considered for the correct team. Boys should arrive on time. A WAIVER for the Fieldhouse must be filled out in advance. We will email this to you prior to the evaluations, please complete it and look for other emails from the Fieldhouse. The FIELDHOUSE is very busy at all times, so do not plan on staying near the evaluations. You can drop off and go or wait in the lobby/waiting room. Send any questions to Jim Oettinger/Mitch Jain.
